For many of us who have struggled with weight, whether for most of our lives, or just a portion, know HOW to be healthy, and we know all the reasons why we should (there is no shortage of information out there). However, for some reason, we cannot stay motivated. If only having the knowledge changed the behavior ~ life would be so much easier.
I understand this because I have lived it. I understand the heartbreak and every emotion that goes with it. I could spell it all out for you here, but chances are, I would be preaching to the choir. I have spent many years researching this and working with women in this struggle. What I find most alarming about this complicated relationship with food is that women can lose their authenticity by making weight a priority, neglecting all the positive aspects of her life. Has weight had an impact on your decisions or behaviors? Do you want to get your authenticity back????
What would life be like. . . . .
- If you understood, respected and accepted who you are with or without excess weight?
- If your negative self-talk turned into positive affirmations?
- If you finally understood your relationship with food by discovering the emotions that cause you to eat first and think later?
- If you knew how to comfort yourself without food?
If you believe this is something you would like to explore, I would be honored to work with you individually or in my Weighty Issues body image workshop. Think of all the things you could be doing or thinking about if your mind wasn’t filled up with thoughts of self-loathing or food. Feel that freedom!!!
